A weak pelvic floor can cause symptoms that impact daily life, including:
- Urinary incontinence – Leaking when coughing, sneezing, or exercising, or a frequent urge to urinate.
- Bowel control issues – Difficulty holding in gas or stool.
- Pelvic or lower back pain – Weak muscles affecting core stability.
- Pelvic heaviness or pressure – A dragging sensation or bulging, possibly indicating prolapse.
- Discomfort during intimacy & postpartum recovery challenges – Issues with bladder control, core strength, or pain.
If you’re experiencing these symptoms, pelvic floor physiotherapy can help restore strength and function through targeted exercises.
At The Joint Physiotherapy, we’ll support you every step of the way!
