About Graham Glennie

Graham is a long-time resident of St. Albert. He is a busy Dad of two school-aged children who are incredibly involved in the community with hockey, soccer, and dance. Growing up, Graham played minor hockey in St. Albert. He currently plays on a men’s league team and is assistant coach of his son’s minor hockey team. Graham has an incredible passion for endurance sports, particularly trail running. He has competed in three Ironman Canada races as well as numerous ultramarathons, including the Canadian Death Race in Grande Cache, the Western States Endurance Run in California, and various ultramarathons in Oregon, San Francisco, and Arizona. He also enjoys running the local 5 Peaks Race Series with his entire family.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of eternity, what would it be?

What is your favourite sport to play and watch?
He loves being out on trails running. He also loves watching his daughter and son in their sport and activities.
What is your specialty dish in the kitchen?
Chicken Parmigiana, with a homemade whipped Ricotta crustini for the appetizer.

Do you have a favourite quote or mantra?
“For me, success isn’t about the wins or losses it’s about helping these young fellas be the best versions of themselves on and off the field.” – Ted Lasso.

If you could instantly learn any skill, what would it be?
His parents tried numerous times to encourage me to learn an instrument when I was growing up. He didn’t bite. He would love to play the piano.

Acumen

Graham attended the University of Alberta for his post-secondary studies, eventually completing his Masters of Physiotherapy in 2008. He began working in private practice in St. Albert after graduation and served as Clinic Director at his prior clinic for 15 years. Graham is excited to embark on a new chapter in his career with The Joint Physiotherapy where he will be moving away from the management side of practice and focusing entirely on patient care. Graham has been an active member in the St. Albert community since his graduation, volunteering his time with various community events. He believes it is an important and critical part of the profession to get to know the people and community where he works and ives. Graham has been a clinical instructor at the University of Alberta taking students for placements and mentoring new physiotherapist graduates. 

Graham is committed to educating and guiding his patients towards recovery and building resilience for injury prevention.
