Candace obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology, with distinction, in 2015 from the University of Alberta. She took some time off school to travel to New Zealand, where she developed a love for solo travel! She then started her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy and graduated from the University of Alberta in 2017.
Candace has gained certifications in advanced orthopedic manual therapy, spinal manipulations, dry needling, and pelvic health therapy.
Candace finds great joy in engaging with patients from all walks of life. From young athletes pushing their limits to older adults navigating the challenges of age-related conditions, and everyone in between. Although she enjoys working with a diverse population, pelvic health therapy quickly became an area that she is very passionate about. Pelvic health conditions can be sensitive and she strives to create a supportive and encouraging environment where her patients feel comfortable discussing these issues. Candace works alongside some of our local gynecologists to provide multidisciplinary care for patients who are experiencing chronic pelvic pain from endometriosis, adenomyosis, and other pelvic pain conditions.
She has been involved with clinical education and mentoring other pelvic health therapists throughout the city. Candace enjoys normalizing delicate pelvic health topics by creating fun educational videos on TikTok @candace_pt and Instagram @candace_physio
