St. Albert Road Race

Lace up and join us for the annual St. Albert Road Race—a fun, family-friendly event that brings our community together in motion! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just out for a jog, this race is all about getting active and supporting local wellness. The Joint Physiotherapy is proud to sponsor this event and cheer on every participant from start to finish.

St. Albert Kids of Steel Triathlon

The St. Albert Kids of Steel Triathlon is a cherished annual event that encourages youth participation in triathlon, promoting fitness, perseverance, and fun through sports. Open to participants aged 4 to 19, the triathlon features age-appropriate swim-bike-run courses designed to foster skill development and an active lifestyle.

The Golden Expo - June 3, 2025

Hosted by the St. Albert Seniors Association, we’re excited to be a vendor at this fun and informative event for older adults in our community. Stop by our booth to learn more about how physiotherapy and massage can support your health, mobility, and independence as you age.

St. Albert Farmers Market - June 2025

Starting this June, every shopper at St Albert Farmers’ Market will receive their goods in a large, reusable tote bag, replacing single-use plastic and paper bags. You will see our lovely faces on the Sunflower version of the bag. Be sure to keep an eye out for it!

Pass the Book - February 17 - March 21, 2025

Bring in all types of books to win entries to see the Oilers vs Stars on March 26th. All the books are donated to the St. Albert Catholic School Board, the St. Albert Public School Board, and the SHAVA bookstore in St. Albert Centre.

Fall Prevention Sessions

Fall Prevention Session I - "Preventing Falls"

One of our most popular! Our Fall Prevention Sessions are specifically designed to help older adults stay steady, strong, and confident.

Each 1-hour session includes:
✔️ A 30-minute educational talk on fall risks and prevention
✔️ A 30-minute guided exercise to build balance and strength
✔️ Expert-led discussion and Q&A
✔️ Small class sizes (max. 20 participants) for personalized attention

Ideal for:

  • Senior residences

  • Community centres

  • Caregiver groups

  • Family wellness events

Fall Prevention Session II - "After the Fall (Recovery & Resilience)"

Even with the best prevention, falls can still happen. This follow-up session is all about what to do next—safely, calmly, and with confidence.

Each 1-hour session includes:
✔️ A 30-minute educational talk on how to respond after a fall, including how to assess injuries, get up safely, and when to seek help
✔️ A 30-minute guided exercise focused on mobility, strength, and fall recovery techniques
✔️ Practical demonstrations, expert advice, and time for Q&A
✔️ Small class sizes (max. 20 participants) for a safe, supportive environment

Pelvic Health Sessions

Mama Pelvic Health Session

Pregnancy and postpartum are powerful times of change—and your pelvic floor plays a big role in how you feel, move, and recover. Our Mama Pelvic Health sessions are designed specifically for moms-to-be, new moms, and anyone navigating the perinatal journey.

Each 1-hour session includes:
✔️ A 30-minute educational talk on pelvic floor health during and after pregnancy—covering topics like bladder and bowel function, prolapse, core support, and what to expect postpartum.
✔️ A 30-minute guided exercise of safe pelvic floor exercises to support healing and strength.
✔️ Expert-led discussion and Q&A

Ideal for:

  • Prenatal groups

Hips, Knees & Everything In Between

Our movement is all connected—your knees, hips, and pelvic floor work together to keep you stable and moving confidently. This session dives into how proper alignment and strength across these key areas can improve mobility, reduce pain, and support overall wellness.

Each 1-hour session includes:
✔️ A 30-minute educational talk on the interplay between knee, hip, and pelvic floor function, and how misalignment or weakness in one area can affect the others
✔️ A 30-minute guided exercise session featuring targeted movements to build strength, enhance stability, and promote better alignment
✔️ Expert-led demonstrations, practical tips, and a Q&A to address your specific concerns

Educational Sessions for Schools, Teams & Youth Programs

We’re passionate about empowering young people with the tools they need to move better and stay injury-free. These sessions are designed for junior high and high school students, and are led by our experienced physiotherapists who know how to keep things informative, engaging, and age-appropriate.
