About Tiffany Rizko

Born and raised in the charming town of Bonnyville, Alberta, Tiffany’s fascination with the human body really kicked in after her own pile-up of sports injuries growing up. Between sprained ankles from soccer and sore backs from skiing (turns out snow is less forgiving than it looks!), she became fascinated by how the human body heals – and how rehabilitation is about so much more than just physical recovery. This led her to study Exercise Sciences with Athletic Therapy at Lethbridge College. Playing collegiate soccer and traveling with collegiate basketball teams as their athletic therapist helped her sharpen my skills in treating all kinds of injuries – on and off the court. She’s also very involved in working with the community. She’s worked directly with many local sports teams, offering injury prevention clinics, homeless communities, and participated in charity events to support mental health awareness in athletes. She firmly believes that no one should be left behind. St. Albert has become her latest adventure—fewer mosquitoes, more opportunities to continue working in rehabilitation. She’s always been a ‘fixer’ – whether it’s people or things, she’s always loved finding solutions.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of eternity, what would it be?
Tiffany enjoys eating all kinds of food and could not possibly choose. However, if there was one food she’d be happy to never eat again, it would be pizza.

What is your favourite sport to play and watch?
She enjoys playing volleyball, soccer, and spikeball. You can also find her on the ski slopes during the winter and wakeboarding in the summer. But above all, she considers herself a professional cat-wrangler. Tiffany enjoys watching most sports, but finds curling especially boring to watch.

What is your specialty dish in the kitchen?
Her cooking style takes inspiration from asian cuisine. She loves to experiment!

Do you have a favourite quote or mantra?
“Be where your feet are because it’s important to remember to live in the moment.” – Unknown

If you could instantly learn any skill, what would it be?
She would love to be able to instantly learn every language. According to her, being able to communicate with everyone would be super cool

Do you have any nicknames (from work, sports, friends)?
She goes by Tiffany, Tiff, Rizz, and T-Money.

Skills & Training

Personal Interests:

I’m constantly exploring new things—life is too short to stick with just one passion! Whether it’s surfing (yes, I can shred), horseback riding, or simply recharging by a lake, outdoor adventures keep me going. I’m also a bit of a foodie, always on the hunt for the next best gluten- and dairy-free meal. For me, balance is key—especially when the last slice of gluten-free cake is tempting me!

Goals with Patients:

My goal is simple: get people out of pain and empower them to stay healthy for the long haul. Whether it’s a warm smile or a tough-love pep talk, I believe in building relationships that leave people feeling stronger and more confident—ready to tackle life without limitations (or nagging shoulder pain!).

Fun Fact – Best Advice I’ve Ever Received:

“Be where your feet are.” It sounds simple, but it’s powerful. It keeps me grounded, especially when life gets hectic, and the notifications keep your phone buzzing. Focusing on the “what if” takes away from the magic of the “right now.” Living in the moment—even when your feet are in soggy shoes—keeps things in perspective. You will always be on duty to find my missing phone, as I try to distance myself as much as possible!

Fun Fact – Hidden Talent:

Music runs in my blood (ask about my parent’s love story) My interest not only lies with the current top 40 trends, but any and every genre. I’ve likely seen it live, performed it at a wedding, or serenaded my cat with it! Concert tickets make the best gifts (hint, hint). And if you need a backup singer for your garage band, I’m always available—just make sure my cat gets front-row seats.
